stratasfan Posted December 5, 2015 Share #1 Posted December 5, 2015 Anyone have any idea what this collar device that bears the inscription, "OHIO", is from? I came across this and, as we are from Ohio, really liked it. Sis and I are always happy to find Ohio things. However, I've never seen a collar device that bears a State name. tarbridge Posted December 5, 2015 Share #2 Posted December 5, 2015 I think they were for State Guard units.
Sabrejet Posted December 5, 2015 Share #3 Posted December 5, 2015 States with longer names would use their abbreviated form.

hink441 Posted December 5, 2015 Share #5 Posted December 5, 2015 Here is a slightly different Ohio variation. It is pictured beside my favorite Virginia disk. This Ohio disk was dug up from the ground at Camp Cody, New Mexico. Pre WW1 around 1916-17. Chris
