USMCman01 Posted November 29, 2015 Share #1 Posted November 29, 2015 I bought this canteen cup along with a few others a while back and never looked to closely at it. It is written in pencil 4th beach battalion and some kind of transmitter looking thing. On the other side is marked US, Gela?, Sicily, Salerno, and Sainte Maxime which is where the battalion landed. There is also a crude drawing of an Oceanside with some kind of building. Pretty cool piece.

stealthytyler Posted December 22, 2015 Share #8 Posted December 22, 2015 I purchased this cup from USMCman01 and it arrived today. I collect 4th Beach Battalion items and took a chance on it even though USMCman01 later found out after this post that it was done by a reenactor. I rubbed a small section of the drawing tonight with my finger and it came off. It is safe to say that this is not an original piece. Just an FYI to anyone reading this. Thanks!
