phantomfixer Posted November 22, 2015 Share #1 Posted November 22, 2015 Hoiping this is the right spot for this as the FAK was mounted in/on vehicles, jeeps etc saved it from ruin, buddy was going to strip it, and repaint it green with the General Purpose WWII FAK numbers...not a mint example but still the early version with red stenciling... Empty but still a neat addition
hbtcoveralls Posted November 22, 2015 Share #2 Posted November 22, 2015 Nice one, far less common than the regular First aid Kit. There's at least one photo out there of a Jeep with one mounted on the fender,
phantomfixer Posted November 22, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted November 22, 2015 on the verticle part of the fender? I was thinking of mounting on the inside passenger side, but holding off till I have a better idea of the most common location
phantomfixer Posted November 22, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted November 22, 2015 It looks like the kit went in the standard FAK location, under the dash...from the factory, the GP kit was swapped out with the gas FAK on every 12th jeep...and I suppose field installs were also common, or at least did happen....not a huge demand for Gas casualty FAKs though...maybe filled with GP FAK items?
