Here is one of the sleeve chevron stencil kits on display at the NMMC. Interestingly, this particular one does not have the diamond for the First Sergeant rank like most of the other marking kits I have seen (also seen in post 46). I have owned two, a blue and a green kit, and both had the diamond. Perhaps this was an earlier production or a prototype marking kit.

Here is the full set of the first official issue wide metal collar chevrons. These were also worn on field covers I believe.

Just checked the YT footage. Yep when in utilities, Webb is wearing these, on both the cap, and the collar, so given that The DI was released in May 1957, that means it was shot sometime in 1956, so at least we know by that date.

The best .25 cents a Vietnam Soldier could spend. My Uncle sent me one and it was invaluable!

That is cool. One I have never seen.

Here is the USAF Tactical Air Command (TAC) beret badge marked by Ken Nolan.

The curious fact is that the badge is narrow compared to the generally known badges.

post-8002-0-49340000-1508006757_thumb.jpgCould I get you to see if this is in the catalog? It's an F-111, but I have never known the meaning. It was made by Ken Nolan. Thanks.

Looks like these were used in a display and glued with prongs removed.  Someone did a repair to reuse.

Interesting, looks like he used the clutch post portions from a Ribbon Mount right!
