kammo-man Posted November 18, 2015 Share #1 Posted November 18, 2015 Here's a story for you. I was at the Rose bowl flea market in 15 odd years ago hunting with bob and the sun had just came up. The market was busy and we were looking fast. I maybe had $21 bucks left in my pocket Bob had spent all his. I see an Arvn helmet to the right sitting on the ground I picked it up It was real I asked how much $500 Here take this 20 I will be right back We went to my old boss and I borrowed the 500 He was an old time vintage shark who knows a good thing but was having problems with loaning me the bones Take it out of my wages !! Ok Here's the loot We went back And got the lid Not many words were said between us as we walked away I poped the liner and it wAs also painted Score of a lifetime. It doesn't end there !!!!! kammo-man Posted November 18, 2015 Author Share #6 Posted November 18, 2015 So 5 years after finding the helmet I let it go to a friend who equally liked it. I needed furniture for my home and the helmet came in handy to fund this. Then something happened I began to miss the lid after a year !! This rarely happens with me so began the long road to get it back 9 years later we completed a deal involving a rare set of indo China windproof camouflage and the lid is mine again
