phantomfixer Posted November 17, 2015 Share #1 Posted November 17, 2015 A good day..stopped by a local shop, and picked up a nice set of WWII wool gloves and a kickin HGU-2A flight helmet dated 1963..and since it was a local score, I hope it is from the 95th FIS from DAFB back in the 60's...the PO is supposed to call me tomorrow, with details.... phantomfixer Posted November 19, 2015 Author Share #8 Posted November 19, 2015 Yeah she is gutted inside, has the foam liner but no sizing pads, earphones or comm wires...also missing are the earphone string retaining studs on the outside of the helmet....in the old days I would throw on a set of HGU-55/P visor snaps, to wrap the string around...but these are black brass and they should be chrome or silver anyway...so I will leave it alone until I can find the correct pieces and parts.... I am not sure if this helmet would have the spring loaded earcups or the hinged spring earcups....any thoughts? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
