HGU-2A/P and WWII wool gloves

A good day..stopped by a local shop, and picked up a nice set of WWII wool gloves and a kickin HGU-2A flight helmet dated 1963..and since it was a local score, I hope it is from the 95th FIS from DAFB back in the 60's...the PO is supposed to call me tomorrow, with details....

the helmet and the cool thing...the O2 mask receivers are made by The General Tire...kinda cool as I have not seen this before on receivers

Here are the receiver pics and the visor knob, which is cool too...not seen one like it...or at least dont recall seeing one like it...

Thanks for the photos John. That is pretty cool and unusual I think.

 

Looks like you are missing the comm wires and ear cups? Great pickup, thanks for sharing it.

Yeah she is gutted inside, has the foam liner but no sizing pads, earphones or comm wires...also missing are the earphone string retaining studs on the outside of the helmet....in the old days I would throw on a set of HGU-55/P visor snaps, to wrap the string around...but these are black brass and they should be chrome or silver anyway...so I will leave it alone until I can find the correct pieces and parts....

 

I am not sure if this helmet would have the spring loaded earcups or the hinged spring earcups....any thoughts?
