Early WW2 Underwood M1 Carbine

Well, wasn't the best gun show but did pick this up from a gent I met a couple months ago, he got it right from a navy Seabee, totally unmessed with rifle and is exactly the way you want to find them, virtually no wear to it just storage age.

Nice carbine

I baught a very similar IBM carbine in excellent shape from a CB about 10 years ago. He marked his sling exact the same way as your vet did.

Thanks Tim, I do put a lot of effort into digging this stuff up.

 

Gap, no I have not been able to locate him as of yet. Haven't had a lot of time lately.
