K-1 flight nurse uniform questions

I have seen it done both ways, and maybe both are correct. But what was worn under the jacket? I know it was a uniform meant for warm weather, but did they wear shirt and tie? What color tie? Was the shirt a standard nurses top or a different one just for flight nurses? Id love vintage photos of the uniform being worn too. Thank you.

Here are some pictures that I posted on the forum of flight nurses

I am not sure if you have seen the Blitzkrieg website. If you click on ANC, then you can see the Army Nurse Corps uniform. There is a section for the flight nurse uniforms.

In post #20 on this thread, Steve has the khaki flight nurse uniform. I can't quite read the tag but it looks like all of the items, even the shirt, says flight nurse. You could ask him a question about the shirts that he has in his collection.

Last night, I was looking thru my reference book, "Women for Victory". In the book, she shows the K-1 jacket being worn without a shirt. On the Blitzkrieg website, she shows the K-1 uniform with a shirt and tie.

I wonder if it could have been worn either with or without a shirt.....Kat
