The basic VNJW looks to be US made.

Here is an example of USSF SSI made in Okinawa. It is on a jungle jacket that belongs to a large grouping of a SF Officer.

I am not sure about the date of introduction of US Made subdue VNJWs, and therefore if they could have been worn in VN or not.

 

I have been told by people that their introduction dates from the early 1970's to about 1975 onward.

 

In-country made subdue badges look very similar to these but I think this set looks US made.

 

US made Basic VNJW.

 

In-country made Master VNJW

Usually you will find in country made jump wings used but that don't preclude the use of US made ones.
