Sabrejet Posted November 3, 2015 #1 Posted November 3, 2015 This command was established at Maxwell Field, Alabama, in 1940. Its original title was Southeast Air Corps Training Center and then Army Air Forces East Coast Training Center, before being designated a Training Command in 1943. It was inactivated in December 1945. Its motto "Prepare For Combat" summed up its mission. (see p.121 of J.Massaro's "Distinctive Insignia of the US Army Air Forces, 1924-47")
