gfryman Posted November 2, 2015 Share #1 Posted November 2, 2015 Picked this up about a week ago! All belonged to Cmdr Joseph G Smith who was awarded a Navy Cross flying off the of the ill-fated Lexington during the Battle of the Coral Sea. The large piece is signed by members of the unit with Mr Smith's original wings attached to the frame. It was advertised as Disney art when I bought, not positive of that if anyone has any thought or ideas on that it would be appreciated. Enjoy! JDK Posted November 2, 2015 Share #5 Posted November 2, 2015 That large framed piece is fantastic. Looks to be WW2 era as well. The bullion patches look to be reunion patches. JD
