thorin6 Posted November 2, 2015 Share #1 Posted November 2, 2015 I've been wanting to add one of these to my collection, but usually the one's I find have bright blades and poor or incorrect sheaths. There has been discussion on these before, and I understand from those that the ones the military purchased had parkerized blades and bright blades were sold on the civilian market. This one is from Schade-Walder; other manufacturers were Camillus and Imperial.

Thanks for the link; I didn't realize the sheaths also could be catagorized by that extra rivet.
camillus Posted November 2, 2015 Share #9 Posted November 2, 2015 Hi, I bought a pilots knife from Frank Trzaska, it has been chemicly darked at one time and is the sheath the proper one
thorin6 Posted November 3, 2015 Author Share #10 Posted November 3, 2015 Camillus, I don't believe your sheath is the correct one. It looks like a generic sheath from WWII. Look at Bob Hudson's link for a description of the correct sheath; the one I posted is correct, I believe.
SKIPH Posted November 3, 2015 Share #11 Posted November 3, 2015 I believe the sheath is from a Camillus MK1. SKIP
