mmerc20 Posted August 16, 2008 Share #1 Posted August 16, 2008 Could anyone provide any information about the 349th Bomb Squadron's B-17 "Murderer's Row". I am curious of it's time in service, if it was shot down, if not, what happened to it after the war...anything at all. Thanks!
Hawk914 Posted August 17, 2008 Share #2 Posted August 17, 2008 This Fort was a Lockheed/Vega-built B-17G, serial number 42-39817. She served with the 349th BS, 100th BG and was coded XR-A, and was lost on March 3rd, 1944 during a mission to Berlin. MACR 3029 There's a photo of this ship on this page of 100BG.com... 20th from the top. Some info concerning the ship's crew and last mission can be found on this page from the same site. If I come across more, will post it here... Fade to Black...
