Hi,

I'm seeking information on the B-29's which were built by the Glenn L. Martin company at Omaha, Nebraska. I believe Martin constructed a total of 531 B-29's, including the majority of the "Silverplate" aircraft.

What I'm specifically trying to determine is, of the remaining B-29's, how many were built by Martin?. I'm obviously aware of Enola Gay and Bockscar, but are there others?.

Thanks,

Matt.

A total of 536 B-29s were constructed at the Martin plant in Omaha, Nebraska. Besides the Enola Gay and Bockscar, other notable B-29s built under license by Martin included Big StinkFull HouseJabit III, and Laggin' Dragon.

I believe that only two B-29s are air worthy, one of which I saw fly at the CAF show in Camarillo a couple years back - FIFI - awesome btw!  (it was built in Boeing, Renton plant tho)
