The item between the boots is an unissued "jump" rope as seen hanging from a paratroopers equipment, used in case of getting tangled up in trees etc. .....

517th,

Is the Leg Bag in your 2nd and 3rd posts on your 101st Market-Garden manniquin an original ? And if so is it possible to see some better pics (markings). Great collection by the way and I love the way it's display - sure beats the piles I keep my stuff in. Thank you for sharing !!!

Again wonderful collection. How about some shots of the far side of the room in the first photo including the Brit airborne guy in the corner. Are your airborne gloves original? The pair I just got, if you checked out my thread (my manikins) pg 3, turned out not to be original. Ray

The strap with shock absorber which attaches to the parachute harness. These are the only markings, not easy to read but is dated 1944.

Now I ask you, was that 20 years wasted? I think not!!!!! At my 20 year mark I will probably be the same way. I have only been at it 8-9 years.

I have learned a lot in that time ,made some good friends & met some interesting people.

Here`s some more pics..

Some of my airborne garrison caps..
