Only thing missing here is a picture of a long-haired Ken on that Cushman....

Why Dragon never made a figure out of that remains a mystery to this day...

Johan, let's not even go there :w00t:  :crying: , I was young it was all new back then, there was a lot to learn  .

Anyway 517th, here's another happy memory for you and me, ' Mission Berlin ' around 1997 or so.

Cheers ( Lewis )

Yes Lewis that was a great weekend, to have total access to a B-17 and a chance to be geared up and sit or stand in all the relative positions on the aircraft, a collectors dream.......517th

Couldn`t resist posting this one......517th

Hi 517th, that was a struggle getting through the drive-through, now let's run that again, four big mac, three cheesburghers, six vanilla shakes and a happy meal for the tail gunner.:lol:

Great time when we filmed that, will have to look for more stuff.

Cheers ( Lewis )

Where' s the 10th crew member??? Taking the picture???

Please explain what 'Mission Berlin' was... If it's 1997 (wasn't it 1987??) I would have hears something about it I think...

Did it have something to do with 'We'll Meet Again'??? Was the B-17 involved 'Sally B'??

Johan: Mission Berlin was a one off documentary flmed for the History Channel. One fantastic weekend at Duxford with B-17g Mary Alice fully restored and equiped but not flying. We were lucky to be able to use here at that particular time because a few weeks later she was wheeled into Duxford`s new American Air Museum, she now resides behind a huge glass panel......517th

Hey 517th..I trust that the ordnance is inert or you're likely to be "airborne" yourself...if you know what I mean?!

Good to see the Headset with correct earcups....

I've got a similar set of headphones in mint condition...but the foam rubber cups are slowly perishing..becoming sticky and slightly shrivelled! Anyone know where I can find replacement cups of the same type?

Sabrejet

This is my R.A.F. days before i joined the Airborne.........517th

517th...that's a blast from the past! We had a great weekend up in the snow-sprinkled hills re-creating the "Battle o' the Bulge" in front of Seimon's cameras!

Sabrejet
