rrobertscv Posted October 20, 2015 Share #1 Posted October 20, 2015 Headed out to Vegas next month for a week. Would rather gamble on militaria than slots, looking for places to scope out???
zotig111 Posted October 22, 2015 Share #2 Posted October 22, 2015 I have not had any luck in Vegas hunting for militaria. The best bet is to hope there is a gun show the week you will be there. I have hit the local antique malls and found a few overpriced WWII victory medals and good conduct medals but that was about it. Good luck. Nkomo Posted October 22, 2015 Share #3 Posted October 22, 2015 I will second what zotig said. Never had much luck in the Las Vegas area.

KurtA Posted October 23, 2015 Share #5 Posted October 23, 2015 You could go to the Pawn Stars shop. Was there a few months ago. That Korean-war era US Army overcoat frequently seen in the background during the show can be bought for a very reasonable $400. They mainly use the vintage stuff they have as show props and don't appear to be interested in selling. But, if you want to pay their totally insane price, they'll sell. They mainly want to sell coffee mugs and tee shirts from their TV show.
gwb123 Posted October 23, 2015 Share #6 Posted October 23, 2015 I've always wondered if there were any Goodwill or Salvation Army stores closer to Nellis AFB? If so, that might have potential.
Dirt Detective Posted October 28, 2015 Share #7 Posted October 28, 2015 You can go to one of the indoor shooting ranges and rent a Thompson or grease gun...my vote would be for both.
hardheaded Posted October 28, 2015 Share #8 Posted October 28, 2015 If you're into newer stuff there is a lot of it in Hahn's. They have some cool morale patches!, DCUs, BDUs, dress greens, etc. I saw a few Nam jungle shirts and a ranger patched dress green jacket. Just inside the door there's a patch bin on the right side with mostly newer Air Force removed patches, name tapes, and there were a few WW2 patches and WW2 collar brass in it also. Worth a look IMO. http://www.hahnssurplus.com/ http://hahnsurvival.com/
