Found this at the flea market this morning. Measures 6 1/2 inches by 11 1/2 inches. Being one sided, this must be for the right side of the vehicle. Applied twill on silk. I'd guess it's Vietnamese-made based on the 10th Cav's history of assignments - mechanized division recon with the 4th Infantry Division.

Does anybody know if "RAD" has any military meaning (some sort of acronym?). I'm thinking it may just be the slang meaning, as in "totally radical")

RADIACMETER or ? or RADIAC set? Both were equipment of an Armored Cav Squadron from the 1960's foreword. I found both types listed on an 80's TO&E (IM-93/UD) & (IM-174/PD),(AN/PDR-27).

Could it be Korean made? 10th Cav was with 7th Div in Korea for a time.

I considered that possiblity. Was silk common for Korean manufacture?
