turmanator Posted October 11, 2015 Share #1 Posted October 11, 2015 No big deal but my dad gave me his OMIAS card the other day. I have admired it for the last 50 years. For those of you not familiar it is the card Naval Aviators got for completing their testing on the ejection seat trainer and pressure chamber which was required for flying. My dad was in the Marines before, during and after the Korean war and worked on flight simulators and the ejection seat trainer. OMIAS stands for "Order of Military Instantaneous Acceleration Society" and is pronounced just like you think it is! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
