One final postscript -- my friend showed up again with another box of his father's bring backs so I'm posting a couple of pictures of that stuff also. The veteran must have crossed paths with a member of the Kriegsmarine at some point because there was a small group of navy material in this box.


BTW, my friend assured me this was the last of it...except for the pistol he kept for himself.

This is the last shot -- a "Visitor's Information" pamphlet for the 12th Army Group which is from the immediate post-war time period I suspect.
