Hunter Whittaker Posted October 8, 2015 Share #1 Posted October 8, 2015 I got this jacket a few days ago at a local Goodwill for $10! I was surprised to see everything was still with it.

Sully Posted October 8, 2015 Share #4 Posted October 8, 2015 The age of the ribbons and unit patches make no sense on that uniform. Modern dress green jacket and PFC rank with WW2 ribbons?

easterneagle87 Posted October 8, 2015 Share #6 Posted October 8, 2015 The parts alone are worth the $. Check the CIB to see if it is sterling.

firefighter Posted October 8, 2015 Share #8 Posted October 8, 2015 Since there is no patch on the right sleeve maybe someone made it for a WW2 vet? I know there was no PFC in WW2 but maybe he just went by the new E-3 rank? Just a thought. The ribbons and 96th DIV patch make sense together. Vets often like to wear the uniform for special (reunion, etc) functions or for special family photographs.
firefighter Posted October 10, 2015 Share #10 Posted October 10, 2015 You might be able to cross reference PH & BSM recipient's and see if any are from your area. You know he was infantry so you can cancel out all the support units and was below the rank of SGT.
