med-dept Posted October 7, 2015 Share #1 Posted October 7, 2015 While sorting through a couple of boxes of WW2 ration items, I came across a piece that I'd forgotten I had. It's a "Soluble Tea Product" sachet, identical in construction, material and shape to the common soluble coffee sachets that are seen in WW2 Ration packs. However, I have been unable to find any reference to Soluble Tea being part of any ration menu in WW2. Wikipedia indicates that the C4 Ration contained the Soluble Tea Product, but I just wondered if anyone can tell me the date the "tea product" was officially introduced? Cheers, Ben. gunnarthefeisty Posted September 29, 2023 Share #2 Posted September 29, 2023 This is a REAL old thread... but I remember seeing Steve1989 open one of these up from a WW2 rat. Could have been a survival ration?

RWW Posted September 29, 2023 Share #4 Posted September 29, 2023 One place they were used was in the SA and ST series of survival rations in the 1950's.
