USMC-RECON0321 Posted October 7, 2015 Share #1 Posted October 7, 2015 Here is one I made a trade for at the MAX. Not sure what category these fall into, but I would say souvenir. Service members could take about anything out in town while on R&R and get it painted up. Love how the local artist miss-spelled "Punch Bowl" as "Pounch Bowl". Anyway, The helmet is named to G. Osborne of the 2nd ID and thanks to the help of another forum member, I was able to ID the soldier as Gray Osborne Sprinkle, from Akron Ohio, who served in 2nd Infantry Division, 9th Inf Regt. B Co. The NARA causuality records show he was wounded in Korea on June 2nd, 1951 and returned to duty. A Great 2nd ID tribute helmet for display!
