Kepi, Spanish-American War, NY State Militia

Recommended Posts

I recently acquired this NY State Militia Kepi. I'll likely display it with one of my 1885 greatcoats /c cape.

Although the 1872 kepi had become obsolete in federal service, the kepi was retained by some state

militias and serviced long after. This kepi has NY buttons.

Looking forward to seeing this kepi displayed with that greatcoat and cape. Be sure to post those photos, will you?
