It just takes experience as I don't think there is a book out there that illustrates different variations of the WW2 era glider trooper wings. These glider trooper wings I believe didn't come about until the end of the war in 1944 or 1945 and the Army did away with gliders in I think 1948. This is why you don't see a wide variation of these glider trooper wings compared with paratrooper wings.
