WW2 sterling Glider Infantry wings ID

Hello

 

Picked thes two wings recently, one still wrapped in paper. can anybody tell me if these are original ww2 issue? I'am quite unformiliar with this matter.

It just takes experience as I don't think there is a book out there that illustrates different variations of the WW2 era glider trooper wings. These glider trooper wings I believe didn't come about until the end of the war in 1944 or 1945 and the Army did away with gliders in I think 1948. This is why you don't see a wide variation of these glider trooper wings compared with paratrooper wings. Even if you had a book you could still get fooled by some of the better reproductions coming out of England.

I have exactly th same than the one in paper. I see also the same in the reference section of the forum.

WW2 era.

 

I really like the design of these badges.
