THIS IS A FANTASTIC SILVER STAR GROUP TO A MARINE WHO WAS AT BELLEAU WOODS AND RECEIVED A (#ed 17007 BBB) ENGRAVED SILVER STAR FOR THIS ACTIONS THERE. THERE ALSO IS A (#ed 2270) YANGTZE SERVICE MEDAL AND A (#ed 5840) USMC ENGRAVED GOOD CONDUCT AWARD WITH THE FIRST AWARD FOR 1912-1916 AND A BAR FOR FOURTH ENLISTMENT A & FIFTH ENLISTMENT. THERE ALSO IS OVER 50 PAGES OF RESEARCH DONE.

Silver Star Citation

Awarded for actions during the World War I

By direction of the President, under the provisions of the act of Congress approved July 9, 1918 (Bul. No. 43, W.D. 1918), Private F r a n k N e i d e r (MCSN: 76202), United States Marine Corps, is cited by the Commanding General, SECOND DIVISION, American Expeditionary Forces, for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Private Neider distinguished himself while serving with the 43d Company, Fifth Regiment (Marines), 2d Division, American Expeditionary Forces at Chateau-Thierry, France, 6 June to 10 July 1918.
