GrandMarshalQBar Posted October 5, 2015 Share #1 Posted October 5, 2015 Preview. I will be reassembling my massive "Ladder" of qbars and marksmanship bars and badges from USA USM USAAF NRA 1800s through modern-day. MORE PICS INCLUDING ANTIQUE NRA BADGES AND ANTIQUE MARKSMAN AWARDS! These bars need to be cleaned yes I know that haha! I recently acquired some very rare bars like ARMORED CAR WEAPON and CHEM.WARFARE, CNS, ARMORY ETC! you may have seen my previous ladder display but I took it down because I have doubled my collection and also will simplify the way they hang. It will consist of qbars about 3 columns thick flanked by NRA enamel badges which are flanked by antique ladders like USRA and TIFFANY SPAN-AM-WAR ERA. I'll post the rest soon if you know where to get bars like TD57 or 22 CAL and also mispellings (I know of eBay jerk KOP whos past-sales or lack thereof shows he is either lazy and stuck up or allergic to money and sales past 40$ biyearly)

lamarhooten Posted October 5, 2015 Share #6 Posted October 5, 2015 The is a great collection! Some very seldom seen bars in your collection! There was a great article in a recent issue of the Trading Post (ASMIC) about these bars. You should do a follow up or addition to the article! It is amazing just how many were made that were not approved! Post more pics akeep on collecting!

Old Marine Posted October 5, 2015 Share #8 Posted October 5, 2015 That's great collection. I have to agree with Jack you have some bars that I never saw or even knew existed. The badge with 8th AF insignia is a very nice piece, do you have any information on that piece? Was it a local issue thing or just a one off GI's embellishment? Either way it's very unique. Nice collection.
mywifesays-ohno-morestuff Posted October 9, 2015 Share #9 Posted October 9, 2015 WOW, thanks for showing this. I like it all, but the Q-bars blew me away. I have not been collecting but a few years and to think I was stoked to find a bayonet bar HAHAHA.

Nice collection. I personally do not like the ones with the 8th AAF, Skull, & AVN pin. They look just like the ones someone sells on eBay.The bars the selves are very cool and there are some other unique badges there. I have many more coming so it will change. I have built super ladder displays before as you may have seen months ago... but this one will be twice as long and I'm chaining the bordering NRA/NONMILITARY medals so they are floating off each other... I hope it works! AGAIN I PAY TOP DOLLAR FOR USA ARMY AAF AND MARINE Q BARS NOT PICTURED! THANKS JDAWG

Flashlarue Posted February 9, 2016 Share #16 Posted February 9, 2016 Wow there are a lot more q-bars than I would have guessed. It is a shame so many of the photos are no longer linked. I happened across this q-bar the other day. You see the COAST ARTY quite often but this is the first time I have seen COAST ARTILLERY completely spelled out on a q-bar. Has anyone else seen this variation?
