Wharfmaster Posted September 27, 2015 Share #1 Posted September 27, 2015 Purchased this Cap, Collar and Boards set in an antique shop a number of years ago. It appears the wings have been bent in a bit. Collars are toned almost black. Boards were found in their tin box. Wharf

warguy Posted September 27, 2015 Share #7 Posted September 27, 2015 Yes very nice. Are the birds on the knots marked? Pinback? Kevin
Wharfmaster Posted September 27, 2015 Author Share #8 Posted September 27, 2015 Thanks much guys. The birds on the knots are pinback. I have not removed them to check the reverse. Wharf

Brig Posted September 29, 2015 Share #12 Posted September 29, 2015 Great set of boards, don't appear to have seen much use, and were well stored
Wharfmaster Posted September 29, 2015 Author Share #13 Posted September 29, 2015 Thanks again. It would appear the black tin box kept the boards in excellent condition for all these years. I must also agree they were probably not often worn. Love this style/design of EGAs. Wharf
usmcaviator Posted September 29, 2015 Share #14 Posted September 29, 2015 Nice lifetime set of pre war HH insignia. The 10K marked ones date from the late 30's. Here's a boxed HH commissioning set (10K like yours) that I am restoring and a pinbacked epaulette HH set I sold on my website a few months back.
