439th Signal Battalion Posted September 22, 2015 Share #1 Posted September 22, 2015 I was told about this film by a former soldier that was with the 5th Battalion, 7th Cavalry in Cambodia, which I ordered and received last week. This documentary was compelling and very well-done (quality footage/interviews) and I would highly ecommend this to anyone that has an interest in the Cambodian Incursion of 1970. Shakey's Hill refers to a trooper from B/5-7 that was killed in action while securing the hill, which in turn came to be called, "The City" because of the absolutely mind-boggling amounts of NVA weapons, munitions, and supplies that were found there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYDkVXg-p-E http://www.candsfoundation.org/interior.php?p=shakeys_hill

I love when they ask his one buddy how he got the nickname "Shakey", and he just smiles and says something like "because we noticed he had a speech impediment while drunk". True Grunts.
