Thank you all for the kind comments, I'm very happy to have this piece in my collection. Right now I'm working on getting it all setup with my D-Day mannequin, so I'll be posting that when I'm done.

Thanks again!

I am usually very suspect when it comes to these vests, But i'm surprised to say this one looks legit! Insane price too! Any way you could post some close-up pics of the stitching and brass hardware?

thanks for sharing!

Awesome! I'm happy to hear that! Here's some closeups on the hardware and stitching, let me know if there's any other spots you would like to see.

USMC-RECON0321

Wow! If that is confirmed legit, you better run out and get a lottery ticket! That would be a once in a life time find at that price. I'm just amazed the guy knew exactly what it is and listed it properly on ebay (correct title, description, correct category etc.) yet didn't research it and obviously had no idea what it is worth?? That's what makes this hobby fun, is to find items like these! And at that buy it now price under $200, I'm sure you had many other collectors smashing their fingers on the key board trying to hit the buy it now price before anyone else did. I'm glad you got it in hand also from the seller, he must be a stand up guy, because I would bet if anyone else seen it, I'm sure he would have been given offers to cancel your purchase before he sent it out to you. :o

Excellent job and look forward to seeing your display.

Thanks guys! Its amazing how long it takes to acquire all the little details, even if money wasn't an object, which it always is; just finding it all...

I unearthed my dad's Harian assault vest that I am 99% sure is authentic. Is anyone interested in it? I have lots of pictures and can photograph anything close up if you can tell me what to to take pictures of.

Very nice setup! The mannequins look nice with the detail! Are those all original equipment and uniform pieces?

Yes, original equipment and uniforms. Have very very little replica / items in the collection. And those have been again an extremely small number and would have been displayed in open as part of the 75th Aniv. D-day exh. That I curated for the ISMM a few years back. Thank you!!
