sundance Posted September 19, 2015 Share #1 Posted September 19, 2015 I saw a nice Ike jacket with pants and a tie. The pants had a laundry number written in them and a note in ink stating "moth proofed 11-9-45". A tag stating the same thing was pinned in the jacket. They were in great shape with no moth nips. Has anyone seen that notation in military clothing? I hadn't but maybe I just haven't looked at enough items. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. devildog34 Posted September 19, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 19, 2015 I have a great WWII 5th Marine Division uniform id'd to a Marine who was wounded at Iwo Jima that has this in his coat as well. Not sure what it entails but it has always made me curious. This uniform is also in flawless condition.
