WACS Discharge Pin

Interesting. My WAC group had a standard pin-back ruptured duck.

Ski,

You may already know this :) but the pin backs were typically for the women and the screw backs were for the men.

Hello all!

I've enjoyed this thread, and so far I haven't snagged a WACS discharge pin, however I was fortunate enough to get a SPARS pin a while ago, that WACS still eludes me!

I did recently add this lovely little pin to my collection. It is very well made and quite hefty, if it hadn't been marked that it was gold plated I would have thought it was solid 10K, it is that hefty! I thought this thread would be a good home for it.

Best wishes to all!

Joe

Oooh that is an awesome art-deco design, and made right here in my backyard!

Hello MJ!

I hope you're doing well.

I know, I was immediately captivated by the Deco look! I'd really like to get any info on it. It's the first one of this style design I've ever seen.

It's just about the same size as the classic discharge pin for a specific service (WAC, SPARS, etc). I'm guessing that the drop in pin reflects an earlier era, mid to late 1940's?

Best wishes to you!

Joe
