SgtMaddoxUSMC Posted September 17, 2015 Author #53 Posted September 17, 2015 And finally to end the night, I'll show a couple of ink blotters. First off, NAVMC 6604 - MCNPB (Marine Corps and Navy Publishing or Printing Bureau??) 12-700-2666, 200M. dated 1-13-55.
SgtMaddoxUSMC Posted September 17, 2015 Author #54 Posted September 17, 2015 Next, MCNPB 40104 (500M.) dated 4-14-53.
SgtMaddoxUSMC Posted September 17, 2015 Author #55 Posted September 17, 2015 The next one is only identified as 878-A.
SgtMaddoxUSMC Posted September 17, 2015 Author #56 Posted September 17, 2015 ID'd as 1755 COPR. A. GOES (no clue on that one either) but dated 8-15-42. Also includes information for a local business.
SgtMaddoxUSMC Posted September 17, 2015 Author #57 Posted September 17, 2015 And the last for the night, one my favorite pieces that I have: M.C. Rectg Bureau 401-39677-(dated 7-13-23)-200M.
Terry K. Posted September 17, 2015 #58 Posted September 17, 2015 Here's one of mine. MCPB 99152 4-9-42 500M
SgtMaddoxUSMC Posted September 17, 2015 Author #60 Posted September 17, 2015 Nice ones Terry! I have never seen that second one before!
SgtMaddoxUSMC Posted September 17, 2015 Author #61 Posted September 17, 2015 Just have one to post this morning. MCPB 91429 from 10-21-41. (200M. 269 PB).
SgtMaddoxUSMC Posted September 17, 2015 Author #66 Posted September 17, 2015 Also, if anyone has any recruiting pamphlets they would like to sell, please contact me!
Terry K. Posted September 17, 2015 #67 Posted September 17, 2015 Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can inform me what 100M and 278 PB designation I love these especially the ink blotters. the 100m is the amount printed, 100M =100,000 as far as I know, the number plus PB is a printers reference number I think. MCPB= Marine Corps Publishing Board, 8013 = pamplet number, date, this is what I surmise anyway.
Terry K. Posted September 17, 2015 #68 Posted September 17, 2015 Here's another of mine. M.C.P.B. 71370 5-26-38 100M 276P.B.
Terry K. Posted September 17, 2015 #69 Posted September 17, 2015 Here's some clearer pics of the pictures in it.
SgtMaddoxUSMC Posted September 17, 2015 Author #70 Posted September 17, 2015 Ooooh! I really like that last one!!
