AAF_Collection Posted October 8, 2015 Share #43 Posted October 8, 2015 British made wing on blue combat status backing, and with added edging to signify membership of a Lead Crew. On the coat of S/Sgt. Harry T. Parmley, B-17 ball turret gunner with the 832nd Bomb Sqn, 486th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force.
AAF_Collection Posted October 8, 2015 Share #44 Posted October 8, 2015 Another Brit made gunner's wing. T/Sgt. Clarence A. McCullen, B-17 gunner with the 412th Bomb Sqn. 95th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force.
AAF_Collection Posted October 8, 2015 Share #45 Posted October 8, 2015 Brit. made bombardier's wing on the Ike jacket of Capt. Donald R. Bone, bombardier of the B-17 "Hell's Angles", 358th Bomb Sqn, 303rd Bomb Group, 8th Air Force.
AAF_Collection Posted October 8, 2015 Share #46 Posted October 8, 2015 Brit. made gunner's wing by Gwendyr with separately added edging to signify lead crew status and unusual prongs for attachment to the uniform. For some time it has been claimed that Gwyndyr were a Welsh company, however I have found some information that suggests they were in fact likely from Southern England. This wing is un-attributed, but nevertheless it's one of my favorites.
AAF_Collection Posted October 8, 2015 Share #47 Posted October 8, 2015 Brit. made pilot's wing on the coat of Lt. E. C. Berg who was in the 8th Air Force, Unfortunately attempts to research Berg have so far been unsuccessful.

Latchin, P-47 pilot with the 404th Fighter Squadron, 371st Fighter Group, 9th Air Force.
AAF_Collection Posted October 8, 2015 Share #49 Posted October 8, 2015 Bombardier's wing on the coat of 1st Lt. G. A. Curry of the 12th Air Force. When I posted these before it was suggested they maybe Italian made.
