"Does it run on batteries?" Funny!! I likes this <

I hope this does not give it away, I don't think so for people not familiar.....

I know exactly what it is....It's the business end of a US WW2.....Bla..blah... an A1,A2, orA3..... BUT what is a blah Blah.....???

Hint: this item in photo is made from a 60 mm mortar shell.

I got one of those here on the Forum a couple years ago. Don't see them very often. I was "bouncing" with joy when I got it.

Yes I was bouncing also!! I had the other piece to this and needed this part.

Isnt that inside the M2 APERS mine?

Yes it was.

M2, A1, A2, A3B bounding AP mines

Not as effective compared to an S.Mi.35 or '44, but imagine not a pleasant experience none the less

M2A1 to be exact, and it's stamped so on the body. here's a cut away model showing it. Notice the cut away from 11-43 don't have the cast tail piece added.

here you can see the markings and cast tail piece. and also how it was attached, I thought it would be welded but it's actually pinged in place, also notice it has been threaded for tail fin assembly but it is stamped M2A1 instead of M49 etc.
