Shirtwaist, Wool, Women's

I wasn't expecting one of my first questions on here to be about women's uniform but here we go.

As I understand it (please correct me if I am wrong) the first pattern of WW2 era women's wool shirtwaist had straight (squared) pocket flaps, the seond pattern having shallow pointed (v-shaped) pocket flaps. Can anyone tell me when this changed, I am sorry to say I don't have any books covering this topic.

Thanks in advance!
