Bearmon Posted September 3, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 3, 2015 The Navy currently refers to this a becoming a Blue Nose, at least in the '80's we did.

sigsaye Posted September 4, 2015 Share #4 Posted September 4, 2015 Proud Blue Nose, 1991! We had to run around outside in our skivvies and boon dockers, under the control of older Blue Noses. We did stuff like stick our hands in buckets of water and have to decide which was from North of the Circle or South. We ended sitting in a gun tub and being sprayed with a fire hose. Then we stood in line to get back inside the ship, we had to rattle our name off the Alfa Roster and have our noses painted blue with Prussian Bluing. We had a Battallion of Marines on board, so the whole thing took twice as long ???⚓️
