I'm in possession of my Paternal Grandfathers M1 1917 L.F.&C. weapon. I want to preserve this as best I can. The leather sheath is dry rotted and the tip is bent over. I am looking to find someone that can help with its preservation. Our grandfather survived the war to only serve again in WW II where he died while on active duty due to what my cousins say his eldest son was "army doctors incompetence". Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
