Bagdad Aero Club Posted August 31, 2015 Share #1 Posted August 31, 2015 Looking for help identifying the type of flight suits worn by the U. S. Navy Blue Angel pilots in this 1957-1958 photo (date determined by Cdr. Ed Holley's [far right] service as "Boss"). The suits appear to be type K-2 (single breast pocket); however, I'm not certain the USN used K-2s. Any B&W photography experts: Any way to determine if the color of the suits were Khaki or yellow? Trying to put together a display...any help appreciated.

Bagdad Aero Club Posted August 31, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted August 31, 2015 mmm probably not , looking at the chest pockets DSCF3123.JPG No, I've seen many of these on eBay and through other research. The Blue Angels DID use the BUAER MIL-C-5390-series suits, but the one in the photo is definitely different. Thanks!
