Vpep Posted August 22, 2015 #1 Posted August 22, 2015 Hello everyone, I got a call from an elderly woman today about some badges that she wanted to see go to a good home. She had some dog tags, marksmanship badges, good conduct ribbons and a DI that belonged to her husband in a small box. the other items are nothing unusual, but I cannot identify this DI. Is it even military? Any help from the forum would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Vic

Vpep Posted August 23, 2015 Author #4 Posted August 23, 2015 That is awesome! Thanks for the help. Unfortunately this vets wife didn't know anything about her husbands service.
Rakkasan187 Posted August 23, 2015 #5 Posted August 23, 2015 Perhaps this lead will help you to inform her.. If you have his army serial number it may be researchable and if his record was not destroyed in the 72 fire in St Louis you may be able to get his records Leigh
Vpep Posted August 23, 2015 Author #6 Posted August 23, 2015 I have his dog tags with the group and definitely will be researching this man. Unfortunately his wife had no interest in his military service, but lucky for me she didn't have the heart to throw them away.
Rakkasan187 Posted August 23, 2015 #7 Posted August 23, 2015 Let us know how the research works out.. Helping preserve the history of this Soldier is important.. Leigh
Vpep Posted August 24, 2015 Author #8 Posted August 24, 2015 I definitely will do that. Thanks again for the help with the DI

Vpep Posted August 25, 2015 Author #10 Posted August 25, 2015 I did find this web site, and plan to sit down and thoroughly read through it. It seems like this individual might have some interesting history associated with him.
Custermen Posted March 22, 2017 #11 Posted March 22, 2017 That is my website. I have a lot of names of soldiers who served in the 328FA. I would love to know if your contact was one of them---if I'm not too late. Custermen www.custermen.com
