Yep, a bit over $800,000...a friend of mine disassembled the it for shipping.

I believe it is now in Salinas getting a full restoration.

Glad to see this end up in a good place.

 

For anyone interested in what it takes to restore warbirds, I recommend the books Hidden Warbirds and Hidden Warbirds II by Nicholas Veronico.

 

He tells the story of aircraft rescued from jungles, oceans, and even gate guards.
