doyler Posted August 17, 2015 #1 Posted August 17, 2015 Pair of Japanese Grenades made into lamps. The paper lable with vets name was found rolled up in one of the lamp sockets
Government Issue Posted August 17, 2015 #2 Posted August 17, 2015 These are pretty unique lamps. You mostly find them made from arty shells, but I've never seen 'em made with pacific war objects. Truly unique and to be honest the grenades look great as lamp bases. I found an Everett E Knutson that was enlisted in the national guard before WWII. His service number was 20651122. I don't know if this is your guy or not but may very well be.
Brian Keith Posted August 18, 2015 #6 Posted August 18, 2015 Those are great! Thanks for posting them, BKW
BigJohn#3RD Posted August 28, 2015 #9 Posted August 28, 2015 Great set of bedside reading lamps for guests to insure they don't overstay the weekend. ;-)
