patches Posted August 16, 2015 Share #36 Posted August 16, 2015 That's really cool, say what sort of precautions are there for it in those hard winters over there in Minn?

Jeeper704 Posted August 17, 2015 Share #38 Posted August 17, 2015 Gotta love the Huey. This one has an interesting service record. Erwin
John Conway Posted August 18, 2015 Share #39 Posted August 18, 2015 Ouch, pains me to think of that noble old girl sitting out in the open like that. She will be missing valuable parts soon unless the local constabulary takes her under their wing!
Ronny67 Posted August 20, 2015 Share #40 Posted August 20, 2015 I want it. I got a perfectly good back yard that this would look real good in....
snake36bravo Posted August 20, 2015 Share #41 Posted August 20, 2015 Pretty interesting. We have one that was donated by an AG school complete with engine. What is also interesting about this particular UH-1H is it is lacking many of the post-Vietnam modifications such as the wire strike protection kit and nose mounted AN/APR-39(V)1 Radar Detecting Set (RDS). The cockpit did get the black paint over the gull gray which was brought about by the use of NODS. Nice old warrior

viking73 Posted September 29, 2015 Share #44 Posted September 29, 2015 Very cool photos and story, thanks for posting. I too hope the idiot vandals will leave her alone since she is out in the open like that (ground level, no fence)... -Derek
