While adding another post to the Tobacco Pipes in the Military topic, I was looking again at one of the photos of early Air Corps war hero Boyd D. Wagner, and he reminded me of a celebrity. It came to me who, Tim Curry :D

I seen this foto for years and years in various books, and now online, I always thought that Ships Detachment Cpl, looks like the Movie Critic Rex Reed, albeit a Young Rex Reed :D

Lee R Ermey reminds me of tv show host Todd Carmichael from the show Dangerous Grounds

something about Todd Carmichael reminds me of Lee Ermey's personality, he seems "Gung Ho" like a Marine and resembles him

But on a more serious note to this post, the GI is one John Moss, Jack as he's known (He's still with us at 92), Jack was a Texas National Guardsman with the 2nd Bn 131st Field Artillery, orignially part of the 36th Division, it's detached from the division in November 1941 and sent to out to the Philippines, but is diverted to Java in the Dutch East Indies, where it is ulimatley captured.

This 42nd Division Doughboy from WW I kind of reminded me of the British actor David Suchet who is best known for his portrayal of the fictional detective Hercule Poirot.

Maybe its the moustache, but this 6th Infantry Division Doughboy from WW I looks like a slightly younger, and less weathered version of the American actor Sam Elliott.

No it's not Spike Lee in a cameo in his WWII movie Miracle at St. Anna.

It's Pow in the Ardennes who looks like Spike Lee a bit, right!
