Sgt. Rob P. Posted August 5, 2008 Share #1 Posted August 5, 2008 Hello Everyone! This is my first post here and researching the following item is how I found this forum. I know that it is an M1907 winter hat, and that is about it. It has one tag that is marked "J.N. Susskiud & Co. /Philadelphia / contract No. 1564 / size 6 3/4 / Phila. Depot Q.M.C. " There is also a hand written number on the tag which is "97707". I know it is an early style as it does not look like the early 1940's type that I have found pics of on the net. As a collector of WWII era USMC things I also know that the Philidelphia Depot supplied many of the Marine Corps items. So my queations are, is this a possible USMC item? And what exactly may be the time frame of its manufacture? Any other info that could be added would also be appreciated. Thank You and here are the pics........ Sgt. Rob P. Posted August 10, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted August 10, 2008 So is this really that rare of an item that everybody is stumped? I was sure after looking over this forum that someone could provide some information on this hat. Even a no idea answer would be better than silence.
