The new room and layout is simply fantastic, Paul! Your collection is one of the best on this board, IMO.

 

I'm planning on starting several shadow boxes myself in the near future and was curious what you're using to mound and hold the more valuable, fragile items inside the case.

I'm planning on starting several shadow boxes myself in the near future and was curious what you're using to mound and hold the more valuable, fragile items inside the case.

I get wool felt fabric, I buy a couple of yards from a craft store ( red or blue seem to look the best)cut to size this creates a barrier between the foam that comes in the cases.I leave the extra foam piece in place, arrange the items and close the lid then hold it vertical to see if anything moves. If it does move, I rip a piece from a cotton ball and put it under the loose item, then do the vertical test. For thicker items you might have to cut out some of the foam under the felt. I use picture frame wall mounts that nail into the wood frame, just center them on the frame. I hope this helps. Paul
