All except one of these DUIs are unmarked on back. the two lower bottom DUIs are smaller. Any reason for sizes difference? How can I tell what era these were made? The one with a hallmark has a shield with a "M" but no number and what I think is a Meyers shield. Any help identifying the era these were made and the reason for size difference would be much appreciated.

Nice array of 16th Inf DIs there, late WWII or Post War into the 50s, the Meyer? probably late 40s early 50s (really need to see that one up close to tell) but if it is as you say, this one with the double Meyer Shield has no code number like 9 or 22, then that one would date from late WWII to around 1954, after that we start to see that 9 in one of the Shields,

The other un-hallmarked ones both pin backs and clutch backs were typical of the WWII to mid-ish 60s, some makers just didn't add hallmarks to their stuff, this being despite the call for these types to be manufacturer coded. You can see this commonly with Army collar discs and the clutch plates on them and army Marksmanship Badges and their Qualification Bars.

The size differences, just maker variants, some slight size differences will be encountered among makers in those days, less so from the mid-late 60s on really.
