Ronnie Posted July 18, 2015 #1 Posted July 18, 2015 Here's my toy jeep collection with some dating back to when the jeep was first designed.
Dril Posted July 18, 2015 #2 Posted July 18, 2015 Nice collection i might have a jeep like that at home if you wanna add to your collection!
Ronnie Posted July 18, 2015 Author #3 Posted July 18, 2015 And more. More. More jeeps. More jeeps. More jeeps. And more. I painted all these fellows except the Michael Garman and I carved the AAF pilot in the A2. Btw that was my first ever attempt at carving a figure......I have never carved another. My pictures are not the best but that pretty much is the jeep collection. Ronnie
ArtyScout Posted July 18, 2015 #7 Posted July 18, 2015 Awesome collection Ronnie. You have to love the 'ubiquitous' Jeep. Semper Fi. Manny
Ronnie Posted July 18, 2015 Author #8 Posted July 18, 2015 You bet Manny. A man that doesn't love a jeep.....well he ain't no man! Thanks for the comments. Ronnie
Red Devil Posted July 18, 2015 #9 Posted July 18, 2015 Great collection! I especially like the recognition models and the Britains ambulance in the mix. Thank you for sharing!
Proud Kraut Posted July 18, 2015 #10 Posted July 18, 2015 Great collection, thank you very much for posting your pics here. Lars
Ronnie Posted July 18, 2015 Author #12 Posted July 18, 2015 Here are two more. These are the Danbury Mint Models from many years back.
patches Posted July 18, 2015 #13 Posted July 18, 2015 Can you show us the oldest one, the one from the 40s?
BILL THE PATCH Posted July 18, 2015 #14 Posted July 18, 2015 Sweet, I have some Danbury cars but no jeeps. I wish I did now
Ronnie Posted July 18, 2015 Author #15 Posted July 18, 2015 Bill the Patch.....do a search on google and you probably will find one on the after market. As you know these Danbury Mint Models are highly detailed. This jeep comes with a removable canvas top so you can display it with a .50 on the pedestal mount or with the top up. I have two so I show it both ways. Thanks. Ronnie
Ronnie Posted July 18, 2015 Author #16 Posted July 18, 2015 Patches the jeeps are at my office but I will get you photos of some of the really old ones. Ronnie
patches Posted July 19, 2015 #17 Posted July 19, 2015 Patches the jeeps are at my office but I will get you photos of some of the really old ones. Ronnie Thats good, thanks, it will be interesting to see them. Do you know the exact year they are? curious to see if they made toy jeeps for boys while the war was in progress.
Ronnie Posted July 19, 2015 Author #18 Posted July 19, 2015 I can answer that patches without photos. There were balsa wood models made during the war. I will make photos Monday of those and others. Ronnie
Ronnie Posted July 21, 2015 Author #21 Posted July 21, 2015 Patches here are some of the oldest jeeps in my collection. Patches both jeeps in the photo above with trailers were made by Germans at the end of the war......from scratch. The larger of the two has steerable front wheels. They are signed and addressed on the bottom by the makers. More. More. More. Although not a jeep this little toy is very old. These are cigarette lighters and the larger one holds cigs as well.
cutiger83 Posted July 22, 2015 #22 Posted July 22, 2015 Great collection! Is that a 1/6 scale in the first picture? Who is the maker? ...Kat
Ronnie Posted July 22, 2015 Author #23 Posted July 22, 2015 Kat that is a 1/6 scale in photo #1 but I don't remember who made it. I did however take it apart and re-paint it. Added some things so it would replicate my real jeep. I also made the windshield cover. Ronnie
Ronnie Posted July 22, 2015 Author #25 Posted July 22, 2015 Hey Todd did you notice my Sherman mixed into that jeep collection? It's a porcelain Jim Beam Whiskey Decanter. You have a very nice tank collection. Don't give me anymore ideas. Ronnie
