Manchu Warrior Posted July 15, 2015 Share #1 Posted July 15, 2015 I recently found some photos of my time in the desert and I cannot remember who this group on a USO Tour happens to be. I knew the music at the time so I know that they were rather popular. I am also rather obsessive and compulsive so its annoying me that I cannot remember who they are. So, please help me out! The photos were taken when the 3rd ID was deployed during "Operation Desert Thunder" in 1998. The location was somewhere in the Kuwaiti desert. As you can see in the photos my unit was the only one to show up in Full Battle Rattle. Well not quite full, because we no longer had to wear our flak vest, thank God for small wonders. Our Battalion Commander always wanted us to be prepared and what the hell I lost over 40 pounds while I was there. Anyways, any help would be appreciated. I am not sure if this is appropriate location for this topic if not I apologize. They issued us winter DCU's and the average temp was 112 degrees. With that said for some reason I really liked the groups SOP for the proper wear of the DCU uniform. One of the dancers. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
