Small WW1 91st Division Souvenir Group

This is one of my favorite little groups from a PFC who served with the HQ Detachment, Motor Battalion, 316th Ammo Train, 91st Division in WW1. Beside his own helmet and gasmask it includes a cool camo German steel helmet, a felt Prussian infantry helmet and misc. smaller items. There's also a number of photos, but the one that sparks my imagination is of him in full marching gear at Camp Upton, NY after his unit returned from Europe. He's holding a sack, and I can just imagine some of his souvenirs inside. The Iron Cross was inside the liner of the felt helmet and fell out when I was inspecting it. A small group but it makes a neat display.

This is a nice representative grouping - I like it! So happy that it wasn't all split up, it makes a nice tribute.

Excellent! The helmet on the left appears to have camo daubs on it. Is that correct?

It does Mike. Not the normal zig zag pattern. I think it's pretty darn cool
